More about Main Library

The Main Library overlooks Scoville Park in the center of Oak Park. The building has been noted for its award-winning architecture and sustainable features.

Our new butterfly garden features native plants and organic compost and mulch. The garden was planted by our Green Thumbs team of teen summer volunteers working with library staff and West Cook Wild Ones, and it is located next to the fountain at the Main Library entrance.

We offer access to more than 1 million titles including books, movies, music, magazines, newspapers, and video games, an exciting Children's Department, free WiFi and public computers, a permanent art collection and art gallery. We offer fun events, technology classes and friendly library services for all ages.

Curbside Materials Return
