Part-time writer/editor & media relations

As a part-time member of the Oak Park Public Library Communications team, you will work 25 hours a week with team members and library staff to create written and digital content that promotes library services, resources and programs, and showcases organizational outcomes and community impact. You will work with media and community organizations to push out content across multiple channels, digital and print. General responsibilities may include, but are not limited to learning, listening, participating in conversations to create new digital and print content and edit and proofread existing content. Other related communications duties, as assigned. Overall workflow and daily responsibilities will be defined by media schedules and communications plans supporting the library’s strategic plan, mission and vision. Education, experience and skills required include: a BA or BS degree in communications or equivalent experience, a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in journalism and/or marketing communications, proven familiarity with leading industry tools (Microsoft Office, Associate Press Style Guide, web content management systems such as Drupal, web-based broadcast email tools such as Mail Chimp), proven oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to effectively listen and refine messages by audience, and refined project management, time management and prioritization skills. Part-time production artist

As a part-time member of the Oak Park Public Library Communications team, you will work 15 hours a week with team members and library staff to create print and digital content that promotes library services, resources and programs, and showcases organizational outcomes and community impact. General responsibilities include creation of print and digital communications for multiple channels, using branded templates and following identity guidelines. Education, experience and skills required include: AAS, BA, or BFA in graphic design or design-related field or equivalent experience required. High level of proficiency in current version of the Adobe Creative Suite required. Deep understanding of file preparation for print and online use, including resolution requirements and color profiles required. A genuine interest in broad graphic design trends and history preferred. An interest in video communications and familiarity with tools such as iMovie and Adobe Premiere preferred. Request for proposal: New IP telephony system

All vendors are invited to respond to the following Request for Proposal (RFP) for a new IP Telephony System for the Oak Park Public Library. The intent of this project is to define a new IP Telephony system, Unified Communications and LAN network infrastructure related to telephony, and other related telephony applications for the company. The RFP contains all the information necessary to aid your understanding of Oak Park Public Library and their telephony and UC requirements.  The bid may not be awarded to the lowest bidder.
