Bring your kids ages 3 and up to enjoy a musical puppet show at the library this spring break. Jeannie McQueenie and friends present "Alice in Wonderland" on Friday, March 30 at 10:30 am at Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake Street. Free tickets for this event will be available at the library beginning March 19.
It’s not every day that a child sees a falcon, especially here in urban Chicagoland. But on Monday, March 5 they can meet a live falcon and learn about the ancient hunting tradition of falconry. This free Falconry Program for ages 3 and up begins at 11 am at the Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake Street. Free tickets will be available at the library beginning February 25.
We’ve received a large number of team registrations and are looking forward to an exciting contest with a lively crowd of know-it-alls! We are now accepting registration for our waiting list only.
“The response from the community has more than exceeded our expectations! The Friends of the Library are already thinking about how to accommodate more teams in next year’s fundraiser,” states Oak Park Public Library Executive Director Deirdre Brennan.

Great Decisions 2012 promises to be an exciting series of discussions about international issues. A total of eight issues will be explored at the Oak Park Public Library. Each issue will be discussed twice. Attend all eight issues in the series or come to individual issues of interest. Briefing books will be available for purchase. The series is cosponsored by the League of Women Voters of Oak Park and River Forest.

Big Bill Broonzy was an exceptionally influential figure in blues and folk music. Author Bob Riesman and guitarist/singer Chris Walz will present the compelling story of this “giant of the blues” on Wednesday, February 15 at 7 pm at Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake Street.
