Special edition: February 22, 2013

planned service interruptions: Monday & Tuesday, February 25 & 26

Planned SWAN work to affect library services Monday through Wednesday

Scheduled SWAN system work will affect library services online and on site from 7:00 pm Monday until about noon Wednesday.

Online, you will not be able to access your account or search the SWAN catalog, even though oppl.org will be working. Also because of SWAN downtime, there will be no access to the library’s digital collections and online tools (except for Overdrive, our external online media service). If you have already downloaded an ebook, your access will not be affected.

On site at all library locations, please bear with us as we do expect customer service delays. You’ll have to remember to bring your library card to borrow materials. You also won’t be able to pay fines or have us check where an item is located in the system.

Faster, improved SWAN service should be restored by noon Wednesday.

Have any materials due on Monday or Tuesday? Renew them now. Log into your account now to check due dates.

is Monday, March 4

The next live discussion as part of our ‘America’s Music’ series is “Music Criticism in the Digital Age” with "Sound Opinions" Jim DeRogatis and local music icon Val Camilletti. This free event will take place on Monday, March 4, at 7:00 pm at the Main Library. The date for this lecture was listed incorrectly in the 2/19 edition of eNews, and we regret the error.
