Planned SWAN work to result in better, faster service
We’re always working toward new ways to improve your library experience. To deliver better, faster service, SWAN is completing planned systems work. As a result, you will have no access to the SWAN catalog, your account, digital downloads and online tools, starting at 7 pm Monday, at any of the 80+ area libraries in the SWAN consortium. By Tuesday, service should be restored. All library public computers and library WiFi use will not be affected.
How online service will be affected
If you use library services through our website or mobile apps, please know our digital downloads and online tools (except for Overdrive, our external online media service) will be unavailable. In addition, although our website will be working, you will not have account access to renew your items, check holds or review item due dates.
How onsite service will be affected
If you're planning a visit to any library location, please expect delays. We are using a backup system that limits how we can serve you. For example, during this time, we cannot look up books in our catalog, tell you if an item has been returned or where it is in our system. You won’t have any access to the SWAN catalog, or be able to pay fines. To check out materials, you’ll need to have your physical library card with you since a memorized account number or photo ID won’t be accepted during this time to check out materials or access your account.
