Prom Dress Swap comes April 6 to Dole Branch Library

Want to keep your prom costs down? Come to our Prom Dress Swap! It is simple, straightforward, and free; just bring a dress, take a dress. The swap runs 3 pm to 4 pm on Friday, April 6 at the Dole Branch Library, 255 Augusta Street in Oak Park. Registration is requested, either online at http://oppl.org or by calling 708-386-9032. This free event is open to all.
Put the REUSE in reduce – reuse – recycle! Wearing something new-to-you is kind to your wallet and the environment. Dresses must be clean and in good condition. Swap shoes and accessories, too.
Donations are being sought from the public in advance of the event. Spring clean your closets and give your formal wear new life by donating it to our Prom Dress Swap. This is a great opportunity to clear out those bridesmaid dresses while helping local teens. Contact the Dole Branch Library at 708-386-9032 with any questions.
Oak Park Public Library will donate any items remaining after the Prom Dress Swap to The Glass Slipper Project, www.glassslipperproject.org, which connects girls with dresses at no cost.
