Tips for Spring Cleaning and Organizing April 4

Get useful tips for spring cleaning and organizing those cluttered areas of your home and office at a free presentation on Wednesday, April 4 at 7 pm at Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake Street. At “Mind Over Matter Organizing” professional organizer Carolyn Miller will guide you step-by-step through the basic principles of organizing any space. She will also show you how to reduce, reuse, and recycle your clutter; and give you the best tips on "green cleaning" your home.
Carolyn Miller is a Certified Professional Organizer, productivity specialist, and the owner of Chicago-based Mind Over Matter Organizing. Her business philosophy is that excessive clutter in any environment greatly detracts from our quality of life.
“True organization is not just about making pretty spaces. It's about making deliberate choices everyday to keep only those things which are meaningful, beautiful, or useful,” states Carolyn Miller. “It's about living well with less clutter, and opening up our minds and lives to new possibilities.”
Here’s a simple tip to reduce clutter at your home – borrow your reading, viewing, and listening choices from the library rather than buying them! Oak Park Public Library offers a collection of materials (including the popular Real Simple magazine) to help you organize, green clean, and improve the feng shui of your home.
Carolyn Miller is an active member of the Institute for Chronic Disorganization (ICD), the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM), and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). She works with individuals who have collective behavior disorders resulting from ADD, ADHD, OCD, depression and anxiety. Her company has filmed with A&E Hoarders in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
