Weird Science, an after-hours science fair for adults, returns to the Main Library Saturday, June 14 at 7:30 pm. Scientists and science-loving spectators 21+ are invited to join in the fun.
If you've always wanted to make a potato clock or baking soda volcano, or have a more elaborate scientific hypothesis up your sleeve, enter your best experiment for a chance at middle school redemption. Prizes will be awarded to the top three experiments. Pairs and teams are welcome but space for science experiments is limited, so register now to compete.
No registration is required for spectators. A cash bar will be available.
Weird Science: Summer School Edition is being presented as part of One Book, One Oak Park—a new community reading experience for adults, bringing together local residents with one great title. The program’s premier title, Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything, explores science journalist Joshua Foer’s yearlong quest to improve his memory.
