Teen summer fun at your library

Our annual Teen Summer Volunteer Program returns this June, with opportunities for teens to build skills, engage their talents, and give back to the community. Curbside Splendor Publishing brings their Annual Book Fair to Oak Park, where it pops up at Hemingway Museum, Saturday, April 12, 11 am - 5 pm. Browse 40+ independent publishers and booksellers and enjoy literary DJ sets at this family friendly, free event. At 6 pm, head over to the Main Library for Words + Music: A Pop-Up Book Fair After-Party featuring readings by Curbside Splendor authors, live music, cash bar and more. 21+. Let's battle! Call for teen bands

Calling all teen bands! Here's your chance to play in the annual Teen Battle of the Bands, Saturday, June 14 in Scoville Park. Winners take home prizes and a chance to advance to regional and state levels. New in 2014: audition live at School of Rock. All bands must submit registration by May 2.
