Weird Science

Exhibit at & enjoy our after-hours fair

Want to create a baking soda volcano, or potato clock? Get that middle school redemption you always wanted by showing off your best project at "Weird Science," an adult science fair at the Main Library on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 7:30 pm. Spectators 21+ are welcome to enjoy an evening of science fair nostalgia with a cash bar. Scientists are invited to compete. Spots are limited so register your experiment now to participate ›

Has your young reader missed Story Studio or Curiosity Club? Is your baby ready for My First Storytime? Early fall storytimes have arrived at Maze and Dole Branch Libraries, and kick off at Main Library on Aug. 26. Classes at all locations are tailored to best meet the needs of specific age ranges and developmental stages. Some Main Library classes require an Oak Park Public Library card. Teens to talk Divergent

Know a teen who enjoys talking lit, or has had a sleepless night over an awesome book? Our new teen book discussion kicks off with Divergent, Veronica Roth’s best-selling dystopian novel set in Chicago of the future, at Dole Branch Library on Sunday, Sept.15. at 2 pm.
