School's out: Honoring MLK

For kids ages 5+, performer Linda Gorham brings history to life in "Storytelling with Attitude: African-American Heroes." Learn about the childhood of Martin Luther King, Jr. & more historic African-Americans at 1 pm, Monday, Jan. 20. Calling all boys in grades 4-6

The monthly meeting of Guys Read will satisfy cravings for both sugar and scintillating stories on Friday, Jan. 24, 4 pm, at the Main Library. No need for boys to read beforehand. For everyone in grades 4-6, "The LAB", a monthly Lounge Advisory Board, meets at the Main Library Thursday, Jan. 9 at 4:30 pm. Kids can hang out, get involved, and help plan future activities. The first in a series of rock documentaries for music lovers 13+, 'It Might Get Loud,' explores the worlds of Jack White, Jimmy Page and The Edge.
