The Book Fair needs you!

Help our Friends at their biggest event of the year – the Annual Book Fair, held this year August 3 and 4 at Oak Park River Forest High School, 201 N. Scoville Avenue.

Volunteer. Many hands are needed to sort donated items. Now through July 31 drop by the high school during sorting times: Monday through Friday (1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm) and Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 (10:00 am to 2:00 pm). Need extra incentive beyond the free air-conditioning? All new volunteers can purchase one book for each shift worked. And volunteers who reach 10 hours of sorting can purchase up to $10 worth of books a day, prior to the fair.

Donate. Books, movies, records, audiotapes in sellable condition are needed before August 2. Drop off at the high school’s main entrance.

Shop. Doors open Friday, August 3 (6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, $5 admission, plus $5 per electronic device). The fair continues Saturday, August 4 (9:00 am to 5:00 pm, free admission).

Keep up with the count-down to the Annual Book Fair!
