One Book, One Oak Park

Let's all read, discuss, and connect

One Book, One Oak Park is a new reading experience for adults, aimed at bringing us all together over one great title. It's easy to join in the fun! Read Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering by science journalist Joshua Foer. Then discuss it with us, family, neighbors and friends. Get social and post your opinions and pictures on Facebook and Instagram — tagging them with #1book1op. Attend free, fun One Book-themed discussions and events. Bike O'Rama at Maze Branch

Join us for Bike O'Rama — an afternoon of bicycle fun — at Maze Branch, Saturday, May 17, from 1 to 3 pm. Get into gear on our obstacle course, dress up your ride with some nifty decorations, and have your bike registered by a local police officer. All bikers welcome. Adult science fair fun

Weird Science, our science fair for adults, is back! Join the after-hours fun, celebrating a summer of science, at the Main Library, Saturday, June 14 at 7:30 pm. Get the middle school redemption you've always wanted by entering your best experiment for a chance to win prizes. Science-loving spectators are welcome to marvel at the entries and try some hands-on science of their own (no registration necessary). This free event is 21+ with a cash bar.
