Experiment, explore and discover at your library with Fizz Boom Read, our Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)-based 2014 summer reading program for kids and teens, Monday, June 9 through Friday, Aug. 1.

Children's Librarian Shelley Harris shares how to add more STEM fun to your family's summer!

For kids birth through grade 6

Fizz Boom Read for kids features motivating prizes, amazing science programs, and drop-in activities all summer, plus readaloud incentives for babies and preschoolers, storytimes, and much more.
In addition to being a fun way to engage the entire family, research shows that students who read over the summer keep their reading skills sharp, and are better prepared for school in the fall. Summer reading = better grades.
To participate, bring your Oak Park Public Library card to any library location. Sign up, pick up a log, and get started!
