Want to get your blood pumping? How about try some yummy chocolate, a wonderful antioxidant for your body and brain? Get guided through a yoga session, then learn cool facts about chocolate and biology, complete with a chocolate sink-or-float science experiment! Bring a yoga mat if possible. Best for kids 6-9.

Ourdoor Science - Scoville Park

Let's take the library outside in this cool hands-on program! We will discover a few ways that science can be used in art as we create masterpieces and do fun crafts using simple science and nature. Activities will include pendulum painting, color-mixing experiments and more. Best for kids 2-6. In case of inclement weather, come to the Veterans Room.

Kids Indoor Rummage Sale

A very special “By Kids, For Kids” event as part of Money Smart Week. Kids may sign up to sell their stuff or just come as a buyer and see how far their dollar stretches. No registration needed to shop on sale day. Sellers must register in-person with a parent at the Main Library beginning March 18. Spaces are limited.

Architecture & Nature Photography Workshop

Let’s look at the details in Pleasant Home and the surrounding gardens. We will have fun and explore the property with your digital camera––getting close up, looking at your subject from different angles and finding points of interest in your compositions.
