It’s Christmas of 1843 and writer Charles Dickens is deeply in debt and without hope of creating a story to improve his circumstances. Life during this period was full of uncertainty with the arrival of the industrial revolution. Unknowing Dickens wrote a book of hope, spirituality, and charity as a gift to lighten life at its darkest. Books are available at the Dole Branch Library one month before the discussion.
