Astronomy for Everyone

International award-winning astronomer and former consultant to NASA Kevin Manning wants us to "look up to the stars!" The world beyond our own is vast and he'll explain some of the most fascinating parts. We'll start inside with an educational and entertaining exploration of the universe, then head outside to view the amazing rings of Saturn, craters of the moon and other jewels of the night sky through a powerful telescope, weather permitting. Best for ages 5+ with an adult. *Please register all attendees, not just children.

In this month's selection, fans of the series "Downton Abbey" will be lured in by a peek into the British aristocracy. Through diaries, letters, photographs and more, the author and current resident of Highclere Castle (where the series is filmed), the Countess of Carnarvon takes us on a journey through one family's history. Books are available at Dole Branch one month before the discussion.
