Author Sean Brennan: "Bridie's Boy -- A Memoir

You don't have to be from Chicago or Irish to fall in love with Bridie, the Gaelic-speaking, fresh-from-Eire heroine of "Bridie's Boy," by Sean Brennan. Sean's parents, Tom and Bridie Brennan moved to Oak Park and settled into a glorious Victorian on South Euclid Avnue. Born the 10th of 11 Brennan children, Sean began his writing career at the dining roo table in Pop's sewing room. Come hear his entertaining stories of growing up in Chicago and Oak Park in the 1950's and 60's. Books will be available for sale and signing.

Designed for kids with special needs who may have a hard time sitting still or focusing in big groups. This class features stories, songs, and movement activities along with sensory supports and schedules. Best for ages 3 and up, with a caregiver. Siblings welcome.

Cookie Decorating

Friday, December 12, 2014 - 10:00am to 11:00am

Come and enjoy a cozy morning decorating cookies. We'll supply cookies, frosting, sprinkles and other decorating supplies, you supply the imagination. We'll listen to some holiday music and drink some hot apple cider/hot chocolate. Let it snow! Best for ages 3 and up with adult. Registration necessary.
