This class is designed for 1:1 interactions between caregivers and walkers up to 24 months. One-year-olds love to wander and listen while they explore, and caregivers can help them participate while on the move. Short books are paired with songs and rhymes that are modeled to introduce pre-literacy skills. Limit: 20. Oak Park Public Library card required at Main Library.

Beep! Bop! Boop! Gear up to learn all about robots in this digital storytime. Stories and songs are paired with like apps and digital library tools. Best for ages 2-6. For the 4-6 year-olds, stick around afterwards to learn and play with hands-on Bee-bot robots for a short, age-appropriate introduction to coding.

World Read Aloud Day: Storytime from Space

World Read Aloud Day: Storytime from Space

Thursday, February 16, 2017 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

Support international literacy and the power of words with globally-themed activities and a special storytime from space. Listen in as an astronaut on the International Space Station reads a story aloud for children as the world rotates below. Then, stick around for some games and crafts to engage our brains in some serious storytelling fun. Ages 4+.
