See "The World Knew: Jan Karski's Mission for Humanity," a 22-panel traveling exhibition about the life and legacy of Jan Karski, a Polish World War II resistance fighter who reported eyewitness accounts of the horrors of the Holocaust and published his best-selling "Story of a Secret State" in 1944.

See "The World Knew: Jan Karski's Mission for Humanity," a 22-panel traveling exhibition about the life and legacy of Jan Karski, and meet members of the Polish American Librarians Association, which helped bring the exhibit to the Oak Park Public Library.

Special guests include Leonard Kniffel, executive director of the Polish American Librarians Association; and Bozena Nowicka McLees, co-founder and board member of the Jan Karski Educational Foundation and director of Interdisciplinary Polish Studies at Loyola University Chicago.
