Get ready for Con season (C2E2, ACEN, Wizard World) with some Cosplay tips! Learn how to sew your costume, pose, apply special FX makeup and create a prop to complete your character's outfit. If you are a manga, an anime, a movie, or a videogame lover, this is for you! Ages 11+.

Women's History Jeopardy

Who was the astronomer who discovered a comet, which was then named
after her, on October 1, 1847? Learn/share this and other fun women's
history facts in a friendly competition honoring Women's History Month. We'll play in teams of 2 or 3, so bring a friend or family member. For teens and adults.

Family Craft: Make Your Own Mother's Day Gift

Give her something homemade this year. Accordion books, finished with
decorative papers and satin ribbon, can be used as photo albums or
scrapbooks. We'll provide the materials and show you how to make a
memorable gift for the mom in your life. Ages 10+. Register beginning April 20. OPPL card required.

Choose Your Own Adventure

Join us for wonderful conversation and awesome books! You picked "Dash and Lily's Book of Dares" by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. Books are available at the Dole Branch Library.

Practice ACT Test

High school students can sign up for this free, fully proctored, full-length (about 3.5 hours) practice ACT test sponsored by Kaplan Test Prep. Students will learn what to expect in a test-like environment and receive a comprehensive analysis of their performance on the test, detailing individual strengths and weaknesses.

Space is limited so registration is required. Registration begins Saturday, February 15.

Students should bring two #2 pencils and a calculator.

Manga MiniCon

Come celebrate Japanese comics, and take home comics for free! We'll have drawing instruction, a cosplay contest, Japanese food, an anime screening, and more. Bring your Yu-Gi-Oh! cards for battle if you have them.

Battle of the Bands

Come to Scoville Park to watch local teens compete for a chance to advance to the regional competition in July. Besides the opportunity to hear 6 great local bands, we'll have games and chances for the audience to win some really cool prizes just for showing up.

Rain Location: School of Rock (219 Lake Street)
