Theater companies are sprouting up but can easily be shut down if their plays do not conform to the politics of the time. Matters become dangerous when one of the acting company is murdered. Lord Westfield's Men is managed by Nicholas Bracewell who must investigate all manner of crimes connected with this theater group.
