Chinese New Year Storytime and Craft

Ring in the Year of the Horse with a very special bi-lingual storytime! Jenny Chen from Paper Lantern Language & Cultural Center is here to share stories and songs in Mandarin. We'll follow that with a fun craft. Best for ages 3-6, with a caregiver. Register beginning January 15.

Affordable Care Act Information Session

Join Michelle Lydigsen and Katherine Layden from the Chicago Federation of Labor Workers Assistance Committee for a special information session on ACA. Find out which health insurance will serve you best. Michelle and Katherine will explain the different insurance policies offered through ACA, answer questions, and assist you in applying for coverage.
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is a set of health insurance reforms that started in 2010, and will continue to roll out in 2014 and beyond.

Preschool Pals

For children 3 to 5 years. Through longer picture books and concept games, children build important pre-reading skills in this fun and enriching session. This class builds literacy and listening skills and encourages your child to develop a love of reading to prepare for school success. After the storytime, stay for Preschool Playgroup, with hands-on age-appropriate pre-literacy activities! OPPL card required.

My First Storytime

For babies up to 15 months, with a caregiver. Boost your baby's brain power with simple board books, engaging props, fun rhymes, singing and socializing. This class develops enriched language skills, builds and early love of reading, and connects you with your little one. OPPL card required.

Oak Park resident and tenured professor of art, design and photography, Jay Boersa, will exhibit recent photographs taken in Oak Park and around the world Nov. 2 - 29 at the Oak Park Public Library Art Gallery, 834 Lake Street. You can meet photographer Jay Boersa at a reception on Sunday, Nov. 3, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Art Galley.
