"Hamilton's Women" presented by Leslie Goddard
Sunday, April 30, 2017 - 2:00pm to 3:30pm

Alexander Hamilton was not just a powerful Founding Father, he was also a loving husband and father, a flirtatious brother-in-law, and an incorrigible lady-killer. In this new living-history portrayal, meet the real Schuyler sisters: His wife, Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton, and two of her witty, charming sisters, Angelia Schuyler Church and Peggy Schuyler van Rensslaer. Actress and scholar Leslie Goddard, Ph.D., brings these smart, beautiful women to life as they discuss their complicated relationships with Hamilton and the other men in their lives and help shape the new nation.

You don't need to have seen the smash hit musical Hamilton to enjoy this, but if you have, it'll bring the history behind the show alive! This is a collaboration with the Oak Park-River Forest League of Women Voters and the Oak Park Public Library.
