"Headscarves and Hymens": An International Women's Day Discussion
Wednesday, March 8, 2017 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Join us to discuss "Headscarves and Hymens: Why the Middle East Needs a Sexual Revolution," a 2015 book by Egyptian-American journalist and activist Mona Eltahawy.
Eltahawy is a controversial social critic and advocate for women's rights in the Middle East and the West. In "Headscarves and Hymens," she confronts the "toxic mix of culture and religion" that conspires to rob women of their individual autonomy and civil rights.
Copies will be available at the library one month before the discussion. Learn more about all of our monthly book discussions.
