Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction: The Ghost Map

Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction: The Ghost Map

This month's book is The Ghost Map by Steven Johnson. In the London summer of 1854 cholera tore down Broad Street killing 10% of the population in two weeks. Using multidisciplinary thinking, the author illuminates the intertwined histories of the spread of disease, the rise of cities, and the nature of scientific inquiry.

Copies of The Ghost Map will be available at Maze Branch a month before the discussion. Library book discussions are open to all who are committed to reading and talking about books.
