20,000 Reads Under the Sea!

Summer reading for children ages 2 through 13 runs through Friday, July 26 and features motivating prizes, amazing entertainers, engaging programs, video games, crafts, and themed summer storytimes, from June 10 through July 20. There's also:

• an option to earn gifts for the Library for 4th through 7th graders called "Dive Buddies"
• terrific read-aloud incentives for toddlers and preschoolers

Summer reading is a great fun and a way to engage the entire family. Research also shows that students who read over the summer keep their skills sharp and are better prepared for school in the fall. Learn more about "20,000 Reads Under the Sea" for teens and adults, too.

Sonar Wave Challenge

WEEK #3: Dolphin families travel in groups. Gather your whole family up tight (even your pets or stuffed animals if you want!) and maove together like a dolphin group! Snap a photo if you'd like.

WEEK #2: Watch this video about dolphins and share one fact you learned about these amazing creatures!

WEEK #1: Visit onemotion.com and paint your favorite sea creature..or make up your own! If you like, save the image to your computer as a jpeg or print it.
