Spring Storytimes begin run through Mary 11, 2013. Summer storytimes run from June 10 through July 20.

Storytime Descriptions

BUSY BABIES / MAZE-Y BABIES for pre-walkers up to 15 months, with a caregiver. Boost your baby’s brain power with an introduction to simple books, plus rhymes, songs, and hands-on playtime.

WONDERFUL ONES for walkers 12 to 24 months, with a caregiver. Created especially for energetic 1s, this storytime includes short books, lots of fingerplays, and fun props.

1s & 2s TIME / TERRIFIC TWOS for 2-year-olds, with a caregiver. This storytime nurtures pre-reading skills for curious toddlers through stories, music, and movement.

PRESCHOOL PALS for children 3 to 5 years, with or without a caregiver. Through longer books and concept games, children build important skills in this stimulating session.

BOOK BUZZ for children in kindergarten through second grade, with or without a caregiver. Stories and crafts are matched in this interactive session which features longer books and art activities.

SNUGGLE UP STORYTIME for children 2 to 6 years and their siblings with a caregiver. There’s something for everyone in this lively storytime that’s full of favorites.

SENSORY STORYTIME & PLAYTIME for children with special needs and a caregiver. This program is designed for kids who may have a hard time sitting still or focusing in big groups. Stories, songs and movement activities are included.

DONUTS WITH DADS (& Moms!) for children 2 to 6 years, with a caregiver. Enjoy books, songs, and snacks in a relaxing environment with other dads. Thanks to Rotary Club and Red Hen for the support and donations.

TODDLER PLAYGROUP for children up to 24 months, with a caregiver. Includes toddler toys, music and free play. Have fun and socialize!

Attendance Guidelines

  • Storytimes require an Oak Park Public Library card, unless designated with an * above.
  • Storytimes are 20 to 30 minutes long. Please arrive early.
  • Snacks, other toys and books, and phones should be put away.
  • Have fun, sing along, and check out some books to take home!
