Brown Bag - Finding Nouf

When sixteen-year-old Nouf goes missing, her prominent family calls on Nayir al-Sharqi, a religious desert guide to lead the search party to find out what really happened. Ten days later, just as Nayir is about to give up in frustration, her body is discovered by anonymous desert travelers. But when the coroner's office determines that Nouf died not of dehydration but from drowning, but her family seems suspiciously uninterested in getting at the truth. All are welcome to attend. Books are available at the Dole Branch Library one month before the discussion.

Inspiration: Living Life Mindfully - The Faith Club

The Faith Club: A Muslim, A Christian, A Jew--Three Women Search for Understanding is a memoir of spiritual reflections in three voices. The authors wrestle with the issues of anti-Semitism, prejudice against Muslims, and preconceptions of Christians at a time when fundamentalists dominate the public face of Christianity. After hours of soul-searching about the issues that divided them, Ranya, Suzanne, and Priscilla grew close enough to discover and explore what united them. All are welcome to attend. Books are available at the Dole Branch Library one month before the discussion.
