Literary Explorations

In celebration of 10 years in the Main Library and 110 years in Oak Park, the library will host a month-long community art exhibit at all three buildings. Literary Explorations will showcase work inspired by literature. Like the books in our collection, the artwork may evoke strong emotions, celebrate an author, or capture a setting. Three separate artist receptions are planned for Sunday, Oct. 6. Dole Branch and Maze Branch receptions will be from 2 to 4 pm. Main Library reception will be from 3 to 5 pm. Meet the artists and discover if and how your favorite books are represented.

In The Golden Egg, Commissario Brunetti looks into the suspicious death of a deaf and mentally handicapped man who worked at the neighborhood dry cleaners.
