Beatles Fest with the Harrison Street Ukelele Players
Love is all you need ...and maybe a ukelele! The Harrison Street Ukelele Players will be spreading the aloha and joy of ukelele playing and Beatles music on our Maze stage during National Library Week. Founded by Honolulu native, Gigi Wong-Monaco from the Oak Park Ukelele meet-up group, the Harrison Street Ukelele Players have performed all over the Chicago area. Aspiring uke players are encouraged to see how much fun "gigging out" can be.

Backyard Birding 101
Ever wanted to know more about the beautiful birds found in our area? Join the library's expert, Edward O'Brien, to learn the basics of birding and what you might find in your own backyard. What's Cooking?
Each month well ask you to make two recipes from a designated cookbook: well choose the first recipe; youll choose the second. Well meet to discuss both recipes and to sample the one you chose well have a potluck of tasty treats! This months selection is Moosewood Restaurant Cooking for Health by the Moosewood Collective, and our recipe choice is Southwestern Black Bean Burgers. Copies of the book are available at Maze.
