Each month we'll ask you to make two recipes from a designated cookbook: we'll choose the first recipe and ask you to make it at home; you choose the second and bring it to our discussion to share.We'll meet to discuss both recipes and to sample the one you chose. We'll have a potluck of tasty treats! This month's selection is Mark Bittman's Kitchen Express by Mark Bittman, and our recipe choice is Jerk Chicken. Copies of the book are available at Maze one month prior to the event.

Join us at Maze to discuss the Nicholas Bracewell mysteries. It is 1588 and Queen Elizabeth I is on the throne of England. Theater companies are sprouting up but can easily be shut down if their plays do not conform to the politics of the time. Matters become dangerous when one of the acting company is murdered. Lord Westfield's Men is managed by Nicholas Bracewell who must investigate all manner of crimes connected with this theater group.

Raccoon brothers Bingo and J'miah are the eyes and the ears of the Sugar Man Swamp. Unfortunately, catastrophic news is afoot! World-class alligator wrestler Jaeger Stitch wants to drain the swamp and turn it into the Alligator World Wrestling Arena and Theme Park. When the raccoon brothers team up with twelve-year-old Chap Brayburn, the struggle begins to save the swamp, and all of the other animals that call it home. Join us for a discussion of this imaginative book, with a terrarium craft to follow. For kids going into 4th, 5th, or 6th grade.

Twelve-year-old Kyle and a group of students are chosen for an overnight lock-in at the town's new library. Designed by famous game designer Luigi Lemoncello, the library is packed with interactive learning consoles and state of the art materials. A night of fun is almost guaranteed. Come morning though, the adventure gets real--just like a board game, they must figure out clues and solve puzzles in order to escape! Join us for a discussion of this exciting book, with a library scavenger hunt to follow. For kids going into 4th, 5th, or 6th grade.
