Children's Librarian JoseWhat I do at the library: I am a children's librarian who also works with tweens and tween programming in partnership with the More Than a Month initiative.

My favorite "hidden library gem": It would have to be the storytime room (pictured). I feel the most comfortable there.

How do I turn outward: I am constantly focused on bringing more of the community into the library. I see the library as a community space where individuals and community organizations can share ideas and learn from each other. One goal I set for myself as a librarian is to help facilitate this process.

What I'm reading now: I just started The Only Road by Alexandra Diaz and Who Rules the World? by Noam Chomsky.

What I'm listening to: KRS-One and Héctor Lavoe.

What I'm watching: My kids growing up too quickly!
