RachaelWhat I do at the library: I help teens ask better questions and have developmentally appropriate experiences at the library so that they can become global citizens who take action in the world.

This summer, teens can get involved with the library in four big ways through the Teen Summer Experiences program.

How I turn outward in my everyday work: I'm inspired by the principles of collective impact. I try to find ways to support teens by working with other agencies as much as possible, especially Oak Park and River Forest High School.

My favorite “hidden library gem”: I love the artwork everywhere! It's not necessarily hidden, but it can make a great scavenger hunt.

My favorite thing about Oak Park: The people!

What I’m reading now: On my nightstand: Trashed by Derf Backderf, Two Brothers by Fábio Moon and Gabriel Bá, and Despite the Best Intentions by Amanda Lewis. On hold: Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater.

What I'm listening to: Musicians I love include Ali Farka Touré, Abigail Washburn, and Prince. Podcasts I love include Only HumanThe Allusionist, and FanBros. I'm prepared to be coin checked by Roman Mars and I'm a member of WBEZ.

What I'm watching: I don't make time for television, but my favorite theater companies include Lookingglass, Lifeline, and Manual Cinema.
