Help our Friends at their biggest event of the year – the Annual Book Fair , held this year August 3 and 4 at Oak Park River Forest High School, 201 N. Scoville Avenue.
• Volunteer. Many hands are needed to sort donated items. Now through July 31 drop by the high school during sorting times: Monday through Friday (1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm) and Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 (10:00 am to 2:00 pm). Need extra incentive beyond the free air-conditioning? All new volunteers can purchase one book for each shift worked. And volunteers who reach 10 hours of sorting can purchase up to $10 worth of books a day, prior to the fair.
• Donate. Books, movies, records, audiotapes in sellable condition are needed before August 2. Drop off at the high school’s main entrance.
• Shop. Doors open Friday, August 3 (6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, $5 admission, plus $5 per electronic device). The fair continues Saturday, August 4 (9:00 am to 5:00 pm, free admission).
Keep up with the count-down to the Annual Book Fair! |
