Annual Book Fair a success

A big thank you to everyone who shopped, donated, or volunteered to make the Friend of the Library’s Book Fair a success. About 200 volunteers sorted thousands of donated items prior to the sale. Hundreds of shoppers on Friday and Saturday purchased gently-used books, movies, CDs, records, and collectibles. Proceeds from the book fair will allow the Friends of the Library to continue to support the library’s summer reading program and many events for all ages. Can’t wait until next year’s fair to help the library? Become a Friend [10].

Summer readers thrill the library

More than 3,200 kids, ages 2 to 11, joined our summer reading program. The older kids clamored to read for charity and raised hundreds of dollars. Over 500 teens and adults participated by reading more than 2,000 titles! These wonderful role-models demonstrated that reading is fun and rewarding. Tell us what you thought of the program by completing this teen survey [11] or our Read Anywhere survey [12]. Thanks for participating, and happy reading [13]!

Your specially trained information scientist is waiting

Got questions? Get answers for free at your library. No question is too big or too small and no answer is too obscure. Our trained staff know how to fact check and will provide answers from credible sources. Plus, we’ll cite our sources so you'll know where we find the answer. We will never connect your name with your question because we value privacy. And we promise not to laugh, because no question is ever silly. Visit the library, call 708-452-3480, or chat with us online [14].
