Winter Reading Programs for all Ages
All ages are invited to keep reading this winter and join Oak Park Public Library’s winter reading programs, which run now into January 2012. Reading logs are available at the Main Library (834 Lake Street), Dole Branch Library (255 Augusta Street), and Maze Branch Library (845 Gunderson Avenue).
for Kids & Families: Be a Smart Cookie: Read!
through January 13
Read together as a family over the holiday season and earn a great prize! Reading aloud with your kids supports literacy and family bonding, even if your kids are already independent readers. Stop by to pick up a family reading log and work your way to a fun reward. This program is for families with children of all ages. Supported by the Friends of the Oak Park Public Library and the Fallon Fund.
for Adults & Teens: Have your Cake and Eat it, Too: READ!
through January 20
Spend time this winter reading and earn fun prizes. Read alone, with your friends, or with your family. Pick up a adult/teen reading log and read your way to a prize. Be among the first 50 to return your reading log and collect a cookie cutter prize. All adult/teen reading logs will be entered in the January 24 prize drawing! This program is open to Oak Park Public Library cardholders in grades 6 and up. One entry per customer, please.
Need a recommendation of what to read? Staff at the Oak Park Public can help you find just the right book.
