Plant and Seed Swap March 31, 2012

Are you an avid gardener with plenty of seeds and always interested in new varieties? Do you have more plants than you can handle? Share your bounty and pick up a new assortment at our Plant and Seed Swap on Saturday, March 31 from 11 am to 1 pm at Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake Street. Experienced and novice gardeners alike will have the opportunity to share seeds, plants, and advice. Local Master Gardener Beth Botts will be on hand to answer your questions and give tips on starting seeds. Drop in any time during the swap. This free event is open to all.

Oak Park Public Library offers hundreds of books to help new gardeners and support experienced gardeners. Learn how to start seeds and about collecting seeds. Read about plant varieties and soil conditioning. Check out books on gardening techniques and pick up month-by-month primers. Get inspired by reading stories by other gardeners and memoirs of country life. Visit the library today – our staff can assist you in locating the materials you need.
