Opportunities for support

Item Finding Volunteers

Do you love books? Are you detailed-oriented? Get trained to use lists to hunt for items on library shelves. This role may involve reaching, bending, reading small print, and using alphabetical and numerical codes.

Shelf Organizing Volunteers

Do you love books? Are you detailed-oriented? Get trained in how to make sure items are in order on library shelves and readily available for customers. This role may involve reaching, bending, reading small print, and sorting alphabetically and numerically.

Special Collections Volunteers

Are you a current graduate student studying Library and Information Science, Archives and Records Management, Museum Studies, or Public History? Special Collections volunteers research reference requests, rehouse incoming materials, provide basic labeling and metadata, perform stacks maintenance, and, on occasion, assist with outreach. Schedule mutually agreed on within business hours of Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

Special Projects Volunteers

Do you like talking with people? Do you need a flexible schedule? Sign up to help with special projects or events at the library or in the community.

Youth Advisory Council

Are you a young person passionate about libraries? This council guides decisions about library events and books for young people.
