Patron Statement of Concern

Library Board approved July 2002. Revised August 2018. Revised June 2023.

Any Oak Park community member has the right to submit a patron statement of concern regarding library materials, programs, exhibits, and displays.

The library’s executive director, with other appropriate staff, will review the material, program, exhibit, or display in question. The executive director will then make a decision and send a response to the person who submitted the concern, stating the reasons for the decision.

If the individual is not satisfied with the decision, a written appeal may be submitted to the Board of Library Trustees. The decision of the board is final.
